Marc, I agree that Nitro and WCW are selling well. And I realize
that BROD is a different company than THQI with a different cost
structure and bigger market cap than THQI (BROD also has a huge
proprietary team which it has started to trim. How could they?) But
my point is that Riven too has ranked high on all of the charts and
dollar sales from Riven have been extremely strong, yet BROD barely
met the 18 cents consensus estimate for the most recent quarter.
Same thing with Quake II: top of the charts. But Activision's
earnings sucked.

While the risk is low that THQI may not meet the consensus estimate,
perhaps it's a scenario worth looking at. This was not a concern a
few weeks ago, but after seeing both BROD and ATVI implode, perhaps
investors have turned more cautious on the sector. Having said that,
I added to my position today. Obviously, THQI is not BROD and its
cost structure is much more spartan (some would say frugal) than
others in the industry who are saddled with costly proprietary teams
(even though both Riven and Quake II were outsourced.)

Andrew, I haven't heard any BROD takeover rumors. But first they have
to get their house in order to be considered a takeover candidate. I
have heard that the developers at BROD are extremely demoralized.

THQI earnings will be released week of April 20th.

Rugrats,
