Think about that inventory devalueing at 1% /week.

Could I extrapolate that out to a 50% price decline per year for PC parts.

Man, are they getting cheeper faster or what.

I don't think the JIT model is a real liabality. Though in the right market circumstances it could be, but this is not the case now.

This manical market does not care about such antiquated valuation measures.

Re: M Dell on CNBC.
Key point was that Dell continues to grow market share in servers and latterly workstations even more rapidly than growth overall!
These products used to make profits that subsidised the PC business of Dell's competitors until Dell started taking significant market share.
Also Dell has quietly launched its mobile Pentium II 266 notebook here in the UK at œ1999 - has stunned the competition.
