Talk about a nightmare for Intel. Some Taiwan motherboard makers design a motherboard that allows the Celery to access an L2 cache. This brings the performance of the Celeron up to or close to the Pentium II.
BYE BYE Pentium II...!
BYE BYE big profits for Intel.

Like I said Intel may have cut their own throat.
