I still think that there some Companies that still put profit in their business plan. So why would a B&N, or Borders want to buy an Amzn at their crazy market cap?. Where would they get the money and from whom? If they did this, how could the entire profit pool, justify such a act. I must have misunderstood your post.
I don't think they would want to pay Amazons market cap just to own their data base.
