An attempt at therapy and humor - given the present conditions.
Last Sunday, I decided to make another attempt at breaking the 'smoking' habit after constant urgings of the wolf. I had been promising her since I was 40 that I would quit 'sometime'. I meant 30 minutes after I died but she seemed not to be happy with that. So, since she had a knife in my back, I decided to try (quit for 3 months once) again to quit the 'habit'. Here are the journal entries - so far - in sequels.

Sunday - Day 1 - Nothing to It
I had read the literature the night before starting to quit - avoid things that remind you of smoking. Yeah, right. Normally, I awake and go check outside and smell the air. Then I visit the bathroom and fire up a smoke - I am really curious at this point as to how I am going to avoid the bathroom until I get used to my new status. However, since the 'wolf' is known to cow werewolves (not to mention myself (and I had no smokes)), I decided to proceed. After all, I do care for the 'wolf' and she has encouraged this for my own 'best interest'.
Things progress well until lunch is finished. An after meal 'smoke' is standard behavior. I decide that I will not have as much trouble visiting the bathroom if I give up eating - seems equitable.
I eat a salad for supper and spend the rest of the evening wondering if I could sneak out for a smoke. I pass since it is in my best interest and the 'wolf's for me not to smoke. I decide to turn in.

Day 3 - This Is her Fault
I re-read the literature last night on quitting smoking. It warned me to watch for 'irratability'. As far as I can tell, I am handling it quite well. The wolf is not being 'nice' about this. She seems determined to make this hard. She offer support but I see that see is enjoying watching me take laps around the walls. SHE WASN'T CONCERNED ABOUT MY HEALTH - SHE JUST NEEDED CHEAP ENTERTAINMENT. I see through her now. She needs a stake through her heart. She is intentionally annoying me by doing things like - breathing.

Day 4 - Today She Gets Hers
I have always been fearful of the 'wolf'. I have thought of her as strong willed and as terrible a a tornado. This morning, I realized that it is only evil that is her nature. She probably needs shot. I only wish that I had a gun big enough to put her down without risk that she might get me before she went down. She spent the ENTIRE night breathing. If she had any consideration for me, she would have breathed elsewhere than the bed. I try to remain in control - given my circuMstances - but what am I to do? I never realized that she was this INCONSIDERATE. She will go about her business as if nothing is happening - just to irritate me. No matter how reasonable that I try to be.

I'm taking the American economy hostage. I'm going to use my evil anti-stock picking power for fun and profit.

If I don't receive 2 cases of ice-cold Coors, 4 1-inch-think steaks (don't get cheap on me, now), baked potatoes, some rolls and some damn good salad by tomorrow night at six o'clock, I'm going long on SPY!
