Mike,

Your post prompted another call to QC customer service. This time I learned that AirTouch is scheduled ahead of the curve in terms of shipments, for reasons as you posted. However, the rep said that AirTouch would not get the phones until June/July.

In addition, there was some "going back and forth" with Q phone production. First it was going to be move to QPE, and now as of today, it is NOT being manufactured at QPE, even though QCP phones are being produced there now. This caused some delays. Then there were a couple technical issues ("proprietary to company") that he didn't want to discuss, but reassured me that they have been resolved now.

On issue with AirTouch April timeframe, he acknowledged that AirTouch has been telling everyone that, because it was the original release date (January --> April). He was surprised that AirTouch would suggest August. Perhaps AirTouch is just budgeting for a few weeks just in case.
