To the "thread,"

Unfortunately, I have limited time to write now. Mrs. Noblesse is looking over my shoulder and holding her suitcase, explaining that we have to beat the traffic.

There are but two things I want to say at the moment.

1) This information content of this conference call was the *best* since I have been following the company. There is no doubt that management went the extra mile here to satisfy shareholder information needs. Kudos to everyone at TFS for a great...not merely a good...job on the call.

2) Having said that, and generally recognizing that the future is bright over the next 18 months, earnings estimates for 1998 will be coming down some. Down and dirty, I see the year shaping up at approximately $ .90 to $ .95, principally because of front-end loaded expenses related to China that will affect profit margins.

1999 will unquestionably be better, with significant leverage in earnings probable. My early "guess" (prior to re-reading the information of the call, of course) is that Furman's existing estimate for 1999 still looks attainable. For those of you not "in the loop", that would mean earnings of approximately $ 1.60 per share.

Again...great job on the call for Dave Buchanan and Mr. Hren. This is what we are hoping for in all your future communications.

Lastly, sorry Voyager...though I will be on the water this weekend, I won't be close enough to Hawaii to be *under* the water. I will catch you on the next trip in that direction.

Happy Holidays everyone.
