From Anchordesk breaking news: Couple of followups-

MICROSOFT DROPS CONTRACT EXCLUSIVITY PROVISIONS

MICROSOFT TAKES ITS CASE TO THE PEOPLE

And the not unexpected sardonic take on the latter:

Our take: Microsoft has been consistently clumsy in handling this whole affair. The louder it denies any wrongdoing, the more heat it generates.

Needless to say, I'd agree with that one. Or as they put it in Bill's one-time favorite periodical,

Unlike Microsoft, Intel has a clear idea of the obligations placed on a dominant firm and has a reasonable record of sticking at least to the letter of antitrust law.

The heat's turning up again, but rest assured, it's going to be a long war, one way or the other.

Cheers, Dan.
