Right, Pat, I didn't see your comments. I agree. Those analysts could have asked a few interesting questions, though, eh? The ASND guys got off easy. I believe that there is an implication here that ASND mamagement is not interested in playing the "wall st." game (that they lost badly on last year), and just intends to do what they say they will do. I think they project that image to the analysts, and the analysts are now bored with the stock. No excitement, no bad news, no nothing. Boring. What a contrast to CSCO!

This boring old company could make a boring contract announcement any old time...

Clarification::::

"Voice over IP/Frame Relay --- the difference is that ASND is shipping now.
Customers are using our products."

Where did you get this? ASND is way behind the game on voice over IP. Cisco has been shipping for 2 quarters and has mulitple products....So too does NT. ASND is just getting in the game.

"In enterprise access the market is evolving at unprecedented pace."

? ASND's enterprise business has been shrinking. A larger and larger percetange of revenues are coming from carrier ATM/FR sales.

"We expected Core Systems to be flat but demand was strong (FR/ATM)."

OOOoops! COuld this be a problem? If core systems are flat...but carriers are deploying where is ASND generating incremental revenue? VoIP? Uphill battle. Carrier wins...perhaps but they said they expect growth to be flat. RAS? They're losing market share. Enterprise...not even. I'm worried...

...We are hiring aggressively...

I was wondering why Paul Blakeslee hasn't been hanging around here bashing ASND anymore. -vbg-
