Nanda -

Once the word gets out that you've increased your stake in SEEC, we should get that pop we've been looking for! If the shorts have helped to keep price down, we should start to get some help from them as they buy back to cover. When the April 27 Fortune magazine article starts to make the rounds in earnest, all y2k should get a boost (and especially TAVA). And then comes the earnings for SEEC. Like you, I believe they will impress big time. What a country.

From the SEEC web site:

<< NOTE: For those who are interested in our most current financial
statements, our fourth quarter/full year earings release for fiscal 1998 will be presented here on Monday, May 11 shortly after it goes
out on the wire. Thank you for your patience. >>

Best regards,

Ron Sirch

Great piece of news from SEEC/IBM. Not out on the wires yet
but it is on the SEEC Web Site.

IBM Integrates SEEC's Scaleable Smart Change 2000 AccuFindT Technology
into its Year 2000 Toolset to Increase Renovation Productivity

PITTSBURGH, PA. April 20, 1998 - Today SEEC announced that IBM Global
Services has completed its benchmark testing of SEEC's Smart Change 2000 AccuFindT feature and has approved the technology to be used for the "Fix" phase in its worldwide "Transformation 2000" factories. The
AccuFind feature will be added to existing Transformation 2000 factories located in Endicott, NY, Chicago, IL, San Jose, CA and Charlotte, NC.

SEEC's AccuFind feature works in conjunction with SEEC's Smart Change
2000T renovation tool. Based on a supplied SEEC pattern list, SEEC Smart Change 2000 identifies the date items as well as indirects and synonyms, which are determined based on their relationship to those date items. SEEC's AccuFind facility then automatically segregates and tags the date items that need to be examined as potentially affected by the year 2000 from those that can be disregarded. The seed pattern list may be customized to provide an even higher level of accuracy.

According to Mike Charecky, Director of Conversion Centers at IBM Global Services, "SEEC's tools are both highly scaleable and produce accurate results, meeting key IBM acceptance criteria for year 2000 tools."

Ravi Koka, President and CEO of SEEC stated, "Over the years, we have
invested a great deal of time and effort in research and development,
ensuring that our products are reliable and easy to use. This is a
significant milestone for SEEC's technology."
