Richard, That sounds pretty good to me. Maybe they'll be taking a one-time charge (guess?) for the acquisition related activities, and forward quarters from here on out may be much better. I hope so. PLAT is my single largest speculative holding in terms of dollars (no margin, my money). At least when I bought, it was speculative. Thanks for the posting. KJC

FYI - From PointCast Business Network Posted: April 9, 1998 Headlined: Hambrecht & Quist issued Company Report Byline: Zack's "On February 11, 1998 Hambrecht & Quist analyst Chris Galvin issued a 3 page Company Report on Platinum Technology, Inc. Report highlights: 'A BUY rating was maintained. The company reported fourth quarter EPS of $0.44 versus $0.17 in the same period a year earlier. Earnings were driven by strong performance from database management and systems management.'" I'm not sure why Zack's would post again today something I remember reading a few months ago. It's almost like hype. Or they know something good is coming and they want you to remember, "You heard it here first!". KJC
