After all, why would dayrates decline by what -- 15-20% overnight? -- at rig utilization rates of 96%, when last year they were climbing at utilization rates in the low 90's? Gives some pause to consider the relative merits of the internet. I wouldn't trade the information flow for anything, but rumors really do run rampant. Look at all the posts saying that there must be something terribly wrong with ESV or DO because they are lagging some other drillers. No evidence, just speculation, and each rumor seems to take on a life of its own. By the way, have I said yet today that this sector sucks? <ggg -- of course>
