Does anyone else think that this is an excellent spread opportunity. With the combination of earnings coming out and the DOJ investigation, this stock is bound to move. On the one hand there is all of the negative news, but the question is, are people stil using Windows, and is NT going to take over the operating sytem market, and is Microsoft going to continue to grow its earnings.
The answer is... yes.

Rich, agree with your assessment. So that there's no misunderstanding the "event" I was referring to is the DOJ inquiry, several of those companies that stand to "benefit" from it have execs that are F.O.B.s.

Imo, this mixing of politics and business makes Whitewater look like a kids game - ie the lobbying (translation - exchange of $ for political favors) of the administration by Microsofts opponents.

Lets hope that either sounder heads in the admin (Rubin) and/or Congress prevails.
