Me too. In fact, this seems to me to be an unbelievably dumb business plan, doomed to fail. When e-bill can potentially save the BILLERS so much money, the smart plan would be to do whatever is needed to get a very large number of transactions going as quickly as possible.

Let's see:
Advantage to billers -- save 50 cents (or whatever) per e-bill customer per month.
Advantabe to banks -- save 20 cents (or whatever) per e-pay customer, per transaction. AND attract new, upscale, computer-savvy customers to your branded website where billpaying is easier.

But, Pete Kight already knew that.
