Harold, you have captured the essence of the danger the microcap investor faces. Hope and fear. Perhaps these emotions rule us, and we rush into something euphorically. Then it goes sour and all is doom and gloom. Contrarian theory suggests you can detatch from these emotions, so that the market can't yank you around. Then buy when all hope is gone, and sell when your stock becomes "the next Microsoft".
Of course, this is still a very risky strategy, as despite all best efforts some struggling turnarounds will not turn around. But as Richard said in a very recent post, a few home runs makes up for it. Yours was an elegant post. Thanks!
