Anyone know if it would be acceptable to attach the year end brokerage
statements listing all sales and purchases and providing the net gain /loss in schedule d instead of filling out a huge schedule d. All the
info is available in the consolidated brokerage statement and all
the transactions were opened and closed in 1997. There are no wash sales etc.

Thanks for any help

Can someone help me on this ? I bought a stock which became worthless. In order to report capital loss, do I need to make a transaction to sell it at 0 ? Thanks.
