Larry, you have hit on why GPGI reports are a conundrum. Previous reporting and ore pile speculation has put the pile at 3-8 OPT total (all precious metals (Au, PGMs, et al)), but recent assay reporting shows only 0.56 (Eric's gold equivalent). That last report has Au as 0.05 OPT with PGMs et al the remaining metals. Zeev reports 3 OPT Au. Is there an explanation, even speculation? To be have a positive outlook, I could speculate that the remaining Au is captured in the surrounding lattice such that the metal can't be freed for chemical assay, but science will find a way to release it. To have a negative outlook, I could speculate that the remaining Au is captured in the surrounding lattice such that the metal can't be freed for chemical assay, and science will never find a way to release it. Considering that risk/reward, there is a better probability that a method can be found since there is evidence that higher values are there. It would certainly be a different story if Zeev reported no Au. Maybe Ed can talk it out? <VBG>

Larry, the sample I have was sent to me by the people at Hassayampa. The X-ray fluorescence analysis could conceivably yield higher results than a standard fire assay if indeed the nature of the ore is such that the fire assay does not collect the gold. The inaccuracy could be plus minus 20 PPM. I was surprised that the X-ray analysis did not show much Pt but that could happen since the inaccuracy for Pt is around 20 PPM as well. Rh was not possible to measure because the X-ray generation target was made of Rh thus screening whatever Rh there might have been.

If the COC results are truly correct, we have to conclude that the sample in my possession is "not representative".
