15 is the strike price......

NQY is the option symbol for Netscape....

D is the month symbol....stands for April

C is the strike symbol....stands for 15 in this case...can mean different $ amounts

2 3/16 is the last sale......It cost $2 3/16 per share to have the option to purchase NSCP for the price of $15/share before April expiration (which is the 3rd Friday) --- but remember, one option contract is for 100 shares....so.....doing the math here gives:

ONE (1) option = 100 shares x $2 3/16 per share + commission.

So, what do you have? One Apr 15 looks to be evenly priced.....no "value" in it, right now, right?

Susan--I love to play options, but I also love to play poker. Just a word of advice. Read a good book on options and understand them before you jump into them with both feet. Playing options are risky as they are a "wasting asset". Working with options can get very emotional, and timing can be very critical.

Here's links for you to refer to. If you go to their home page, they have somewhat of a tutorial. cboe.pcquote.com and one more:
