No one can predict the date of approval. I heard they expect approval some time in May.

The company was forced to ship its European shipment from the old plant in Q4 97 and Q1 98. The MCA approval will allow VVUS to ship from the new plant, freeing up the 150-200 K units for domestic shipment (higher margins). Also, they can use product from the new plant to ship to the countries that have just recently approved VVUS.
IOW, the company has created more capacity which should help with the demand burden they say they are experiencing.
