Lots of people placed market orders before the market opened. The MM's can see all this order imbalance and just jacked the price up before any shares were traded at all. the result was that the MM's made money ... or at least avoided LOSING money and the SA investors gained little or nothing. I have been following his system for perhaps 3 months now, and have had confirmation in two ways: (1) I've made considerable money, and (2) he picked two stocks I already earned.
