It's neat because it's almost like a phone conversation, i.e. real time no delay except for how fast you can type. Also, it's good for very short messages to alert to a change or to go look at something fast. Also you can do chats. It's availability seems to be better than SI so when we can't access SI, we can use ICQ. If you send your membership number in private mail, I'll enable you and we can communicate. Regards, Lee

Sig, i have tried it and it works but lately i got disinterested and uninstalled it.It is a chat program.

Sig, I have ICQ and it seems to work OK, but I think (not positive) if I leave ICQ 'up' but am not using it, and my ISP link is up, but 'idle', when my ISP sends me the message that they will terminate me due to inactivity, my system 'hangs'. That I'm not to crazy about. Also, when I have used it, there is sometimes a 'lag' in the screen presentations, but still faster than 'post' and 're-post'. Not only there is a flashing window, but you can 'honk a horn' <ctrl G>! That'll wake you up! Regards, Ken
