Gary,

How about some negative Viagra PR?
You know its going to happen regardless of true facts.
I expect a significant number of older men with cardiac disease or high blood pressure who take Viagra to enhance sexual performance will die while copulating.
I can already see lawyer's TV commercials going something like:
If your spouse or loved one died shortly after using the product Viagra you really need to know your rights. At the law firms of Doowee Cheetum and How we want you to be fully compensated for your losses.
Also, this is going to drive the life insurance companies crazy. I can already see the riders denying coverage from death due to coronaries following Viagra administration.

- Gary - anything or nothing at all can trigger a short squeeze.

- For instance, this week's Barron's - in Alan Abelson's column - says Muriel Siebert's meteoric stock rise is due to short squueze - because a 4:1 stock split was announced.

- On the cash front - I stand by original statement that advertising & plant start ups wouldn't dent VVUS's cash position. VVUS is, and continues to be, a cash cow. As proof ...

- Look at stockholder's equity:

12/31/97: $123 mill
3/31/98: 98 mill
----------
decrease: $25 mill
==========

- However, VVUS spent $23.6 mill on stock buyback.

- My point is that VVUS will continue to generate huge a huge stream of cash. New markets opening up every day. No reason why VVUS can't continue doing a $100 mill+ in revenues; holding the line on expenses; and earning $2 - $3 a share.
