Speaking of AC-3 and settop boxes, we just got our GI 1000 digital cable settop box from TCI. Right on the front panel it has the "Dolby Digital" logo. There is a slight problem. I can't find any place to plug it into my Pioneer AC-3 receiver. The installer said something about digital channels not being set set up for stereo but I think he is wrong. The Discovery channels and SCI-FI channels appear to be encoding Dolby Surround and sound great. How is GI getting off branding "Dolby Digital" and not delivering?
