Fortunately (or unfortunately), it's turned out that I've been pretty accurate in predicting ALTS' mediocrity/future over the past year. FWIW, I've come to know from authoritative sources that the ALTS masses are deserting the ship in a big hurry. Apparently some of the big-3 have hired away the best of the ALTS salespeople/SEs/consultants since the stock was halted. As I understand it, it's come to be a field day for the poachers - multiple ALTS people being interviewed in one day! What these people are saying is that EB is nothing special; they've had a tough time establishing credibility for it among old and new customers and see this as getting even harder after this financial mess.
