The answer is NO. Most retailers say they can't get enough of these computers. The high inventory is in the high-end machines. I don't quite understand how any INFORMED DELL holder cannot know this especially since everybody on this thread points daily how many problems Compaq is having with its inventory. Perhaps, they don't quite know either.

Maybe DELL isn't in the sub 1K computers yet, put if the prices of components continue to drop, DELL will have to be in them sometime! (IMHO)
