In the case of "SHORTS" questioning the company's technology (sort of where this all started), the better argument is inevitably, SHOW ME THE MONEY (I always wanted to yell that, too). In other words, if the technology is shown to be viable and is accepted by the customer base, then sales and (if management is competent) earnings will follow, and nothing a few "SHORTS" have to say about it will mean much, if in fact they haven't all gone long by then.
