vladimir-- this wasnt an announcement from state politicos, this was from justice. the FCC will rubber stamp it since justice found that BEL met the 14 points (i think thats the #) that were in the telecom act of 96. on first read, it does appear that this is only about vox service, however, they need to be able to build out their data networks across the service area, which means they need to be able to do LD service. whether it is vox or data, its still interLATA, thus LD. vox is a smoke screen, the money is in data. good luck to all, trey
