Kal,

<CalculatedRisk - why did you target newcomers?>

Because the "TAVA oldtimers" have been around the block ... and know too much. Anyone who's been around would NEVER buy into his story ... most just click past his posts. But, newbies are vulnerable. That's why he'll continue to post. Kinda like "bottom fishing".

Most threads are like "chat" lines, with many participants having limited attention spans. CR assumed the same with the TAVA thread. Made a mistake. I have never had the pleasure to interact with SO many intelligent people ... who are willing to share their expertise.

Cheryl

To answer a few questions:

First, congratulations to TAVA on the nice mention in the Fortune article.

Kal asks: "Why did you target newcomers?"
Answer: In response to the previous post (posted to me!). Check all those links and find anything that discusses valuation, operating losses (OK - the conference call - but no discussion of operating cash flow), how many shares are outstanding (25 million including option overhang) ... interesting that these are ignored.

Phillip Kelly asks: "Why are you not on the Yahoo thread explaining your short theories?"
Answer: Too many aliases ... not worth the effort.

Y2K_fan suggests: "It seems that CR is an honest shorter rather than a smart shorter."
Answer: Well thank you (I guess<g>)! Actually, I like to post before I short a stock. Believe it or not I learn things from these threads (I've learned both positive and negative things about TAVA here). IMO, these threads have little or no direct influence on the share price (maybe some over time) and just about everyone is set in their view. In my case, I change my opinions as I learn new information ... a novel concept!

Bob suggests: "Such a sight when shorts start soiling their shorts."
Answer: Pancho was never short TAVA (he is definitely NOT long TAVA). I also have respect for Kip's opinions (a TAVA long), but I think he is wrong here. Pancho is a great cyber-friend, yet we have vigorously disagreed on several stocks. That is how it should work!

Bob also suggests: "He will do whatever it takes to drive a stock down."
Answer: This is completely untrue. I have heard of short sellers interfering with a Company's business (contacting customers) and spreading false rumors about a Company (bankruptcy was filed, key employee had a heart attack, etc.). I have NEVER engaged in these activities and I NEVER will.

I have speculated about issues surrounding a Company ... but always with analysis! Hopefully people understand the difference between "speculation" and spreading rumors!

OTOH, if you check this thread, more than 95% of the "rumors" are from longs ... somehow this is OK. This is a complete double standard.
Regards, Bill
