Goldsnow, a thought crossed my mind that the price of oil and minerals may not rise too much until the transnationals get their hands on these resources in Russia, much as the banks are now moving into S.E Asia. Sort of like a short squeeze in reverse. This would explain to me the fact that, as the much ballyhooed fall of the evil empire was caused/anticipated/yearned for, very little help in rebuilding has come from the west,IMHO,and BWDIK. A lot of large companies have already got their foot in the door in places like Krygstan, and all those other K places. Please don't flame the S#$%t out of me, it's just a thought that IMHO does seem to have some validity. It's much easier to buy something when no one wants it.
