Joe, I was under the impression that in SA and Ural the Pt and the gold occurrences are not congruent and not simultaneously extracted. Gold appears separately and sometimes in copper and with silver. The Pt group metals appears separately and sometimes with nickel deposits as impurities. As far as I know, there is rarely a need to separate the PGM group from Au/Ag bearing solutions. My knowledge in this area is limited to reading some of the typical government publications, and thus very limited (g). Zeev Zeev
