IMO AMD heads to 20. I don't believe in the predictive value of charts - they are a great tool to analyze the past history of a stock and say smart things. Support levels are good as long as they hold. Can you look at today's chart and tell me whether a support level will hold or be broken tomorrow, consistently? Aside from hot, hyped stocks like YHOO, AMZN etc., the stock price tends to track earnings and news that may affect earnings such as analyst's estimates etc.

Even in the sub-$1000 market, Intel will eat their lunch. How many people do you know own a computer with "AMD Inside"? I looked for an AMD K6 last year, but they weren't available. Now if I had to pick between a P-II and the K-6, I would go for Intel and I suspect so would most people.

Most importantly though, whatever the merits of their technology, they have consistently produced bad earnings for quite a few quarters now. And I don't see that changing. They need a change of direction and management before their stock will see a permanent upswing. Until then it is going to be downhill.
