Bill,

B5: One of the best shows ever created.

Someone who seemed knowledgeable at MacWarehouse told me today that Virtual PC 2.0 on my new G3/300 will be faster than the DOS boards in the G3/300. He said very fast and not comparable to 1.1 on my 3400/240. I'll let you know.

The 3400/240c smoked late Thurs morning -- literally smoked. I've been working till now on the problems. I'm now the very satisfied owner of a G3/300. I found I was able to put together most of what I want at a much better price than through Apple, by comparison shopping between the mail order houses.

G3/300 with 64MB RAM, 1 extra wide SCSI 4 GIG HD, 24 speed CD-ROM @ $3199 delivered overnight MacWarehouse.Pat x30225

1 4-1/2 GIG extra wide SCSI $499 MacWarehouse Wayne x34096

2 128MB RAM SIMMS $133 each Chip Merchant @$491.10 Next Day Delivery, though they never got here: 800-426-6375

1 IX Micro 128 8MB accelerator card $399 MacWarehouse Wayne x34096

Audiovision Adaptor Kit $72 (to adapt an old AudioVision 14" 2001 monitor).

Virtual PC Upgrade $35.98 delivered overnight: MacZone

Need one more monitor -- one I thought was okay isn't and one I thought wasn't is, so have to reject the monitor with the built in speakers that's coming tomorrow and find one without them to order for the second monitor. Suggestions? Today's best price on the Apple MultiScan 15AV was MacMall $380 plus $25 overnight delivery: Tom x4087.
