All, Does anyone know anything about, "New software from a California start-up may dramatically improve the performance of Microsoft Corp.'s upcoming Windows Terminal Server (WTS)." It's called "Booster" and is made by New Moon. It's supposed to be able to double the number of users on WTS. I read through the article I found about it, and can't figure out Booster's relationship to Winframe, Hydra, or Metaframe. Whatever Citrix is calling itself now (Another confusing subject that Citrix needs to work on). "Booster" itself is getting into the complicated naming games also. Booster is a special version of "New Moon Liftoff." Here's another quote from the article that may help explain what "Booster" is: "Booster's approach differs from the one being proposed by Microsoft and development partner Citrix Systems, Inc. These companies generally position WTS to un applications in addition to serving the terminal displays." After this, the article is unclear to me. I found the article in the latest hard copy edition of Network World, April 6th, 1998. I don't think it is on their website, www.nwfusion.com, though it may be. It appears to me that New Moon is in direct competition to Citrix in their relationship to Windows NT's WTS. But I could easily be wrong!
