The comments about the split were regarding ATI.

As far as I can tell, the empirical evidence still holds until I see otherwise.

I do not make investment decisions based on the fact that a stock is splitting, I really don't think its wise.

Lets take Yahoo for example. That stock just reported earnings and climbed to $110 US. I certainly would not but it at that P/E and I certainly would not buy it if it split.

There are some crazy things going on right now, and I have this feeling it is going to correct before summer. We just need that trigger....

PS Note on the DJIA, they are increasing the "speed bumps" to 10% of the market before a halt. If it is down 10% before 2PM they halt for an hour. If it is down 10% after 2PM they halt for half an hour. If it goes down 20% they halt for 2 hours. Better than the original 4% or something from before.
