Thank you for offering your personal support to people who buy puts and sell short. I am holding a short position equivalent to 25% of the calls as a hedge to recover lost money during those annoying weekly dips. If the short position makes money during those dips, the profits are converted to calls at lower strike price to generate more profits when the stock recover a few days later. If there are no dips, well, I just have less than 75% of my calls. Asnd is probably volatile for another quarter before short rumour tactics become less and less effective. How funny investors had been nervous of an earning warning until the last minute of earning day. It only takes a minute threat which might resemble last Q3 and, voila, bears everywhere show up with their doom and gloom. It does take a long time to repair management's credibility. This time with upgrades and substantial contract wins and good earnings (while other networkers failed), the dips are getting smaller and smaller in price range and duration. I would be very curious to know what the next bomb threats would be when Asnd hits 50 (maybe, oops, Japanese contracts get canceled, the GX550 poses compatibility problems, CSCO gets all RAS market shares...<VBG>). It would be much harder to bring the price down because investors (including the street) start to listen to Ashy. He did say at one of the Monty's conference (not exact words) - if we give you guidance and we are comfortable with consensus estimates and you don't believe those numbers, then we don't know what to do. Don't be a victim of the short like our beloved Gary K. (bailing out due to irrational fear, he did confess if I am not mistaken).
