Bob, Thanks. They can then pick and choose their buyer, if any. Some in this position will build to a point and then sell to a major player??? Well they seem to be in the lead for now. They might have enough cash from sales to keep the lead as speech rec is not amenable to money based solutions. If they have the optimal method already they will keep the lead. All Microsoft can do is give their product away free a la Netscape once they get to some kind of parity. Make speech recognition part of the OS as an installable option like the accessability options in win 95? Bill
