That's correct. However, if someone is mechanically following another how do they know the assumptions or time frame that went into the investing decision? How do they know the signals to head for the exit when the winner doesn't materialize? I think it is better for investors or traders to get better at understanding the process of decision making.

I'm not really concerned about this thread. I was merely relaying some of my experience in stock or sector specific threads when I and a few others have made fairly quick moves in and out of a position and then had people lose or get p$$ed off on both sides of the trade. There is no perfect answer. I'm just much more circumspect. How would you feel if someone responded to a comment on a specific stock that you thought had a sort term downtrend but longer term was headed up. A comment like I just bet the farm on the short side of let's say Microsoft or DELL or AOL. That's a scary thing to hear.
