There is no "Fred" Meyer connected to the Fed. Aki not only got the name of the Governor wrong, but also the content of the speech.

As previously stated, it was a very measured and balanced speech. Both bulls and bears could listen to it or read it and come away absolutely convinced that the Fed supports their outlook for the economy.

Your reference to the Bloomberg story is not directly related. But yes, after ones makes it through the series of "ifs", it does indicate that tightening is in order.
