Tuesday April 14, 9:36 am Eastern Time Company Press Release Stratford Acquisition Corp. Announces Initial Sales NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 14, 1998--Stratford Acquisition Corp. (OTC:HARD - news) announced Tuesday that it received an initial order to sell one truckload of its pre-packaged Novacrete Multi-Purpose Mortar to CPD Services, one of Canada's largest distributors of construction products. The company will ship the order from existing inventory this week and anticipates shipping a second truckload by the end of April. Each truckload will represent approximately 44,000 pounds or 800 pre-packaged 55-pound bags of mortar product. With the addition of its U.S. regional sales manager on April 13, 1998, the company anticipates shipping its products to distributors of construction products located on the East Coast of the United States by the end of April. Daniel W. Dowe, Stratford's president and chief executive officer, responded to the sale, saying, ''we are all pleased that the company has officially emerged from the development stage, and we expect to stay ahead of schedule with our 1998 Business Plan. We have been working closely with CPD over the past two months and are enjoying the business relationship we have already established. ''CPD is very aggressive in distributing its products and we share common ground in our approach to manufacturing and distributing high-end cementitious products.'' Stratford Acquisition Corp. researches, develops and manufactures an additive that enhances the performance of mortars used in new construction and in repair of deteriorating concrete structures. The additive is blended in various proportions with cement and sand to create a wide range of special application mortars.
