<<<<<<<If PTVL was doing $3-Million in sales a week, why are they LOSING so MUCH money? ...they are paying through the nose to aol, xcit, etc. i am sure they also need to pay tsg and some others who actually make the reservations for hotels, etc. ........don't forget that tsg, msft, ptvl are setting up full service travel businesses on the web. .........it costs money to get the eyeballs, but once you got 'em, then the barrier to entry is harder. .........look at isp's/search engines. it is getting harder to compete now with aol, yhoo, xcit, mspg, elnk, etc. .......do you use hotbot? most people rarely do? why? they don't have enough real estate? soon they will be microsoft--then they will be use a lot--i guarantee it. ...every year the barrier to entry is harder and more costly.
