Bootz,

I can vouch for the reliablility of Zip and Jaz drives. I sell the
things and of course offer a complete replacement guarantee for any
thing I sell. In the past 6 months of selling Zip disks and 3 1/2"
floppies by Sony, I have seen only 1 Zip disk come back (out of sales
of about 400) and have seen about about 20 bad Sony floppies (and
this doesn't tell the whole story since most people just trash a bad
floppy). I think the "Click of Death" stories are far more folklore
than fact. True, they had bugs in Zip when they first came out but
this has been worked out. Reliablility for Iomega is better than the
PC market as a whole. Lets not forget some of the Wintel fiascos...
