Boogie Nights is certainly a good movie in the sense that it is well acted, has a tight story, and does an excellent job of recreating the recent past. but let me know what you think of it. I found it to be depressing because the characters don't learn anything from their problems. Like real people often do, they just stay the same. Maybe that theme is just too sad to be entertaining.
