"The Torah is the basis of the Jewish religion" If this is so, then why does modern Judaism opposed the God of the Torah ? For the last two thousand years modern Judaism has opposed and denied Jesus Christ--the God of the Torah.

I feel the same most damage of who God really is has been done by the human race and fanatics. A mess is an understatement in regard to religion. I also agree that religions do in fact pick and choose things out of the Old Testament as well as the New Testament and do whatever additions and omissions to form their denomination. I also believe the Torah is Gods word which is the Old testament and the Talmud (written by man) for the Rabbis plus one other but I can't think of it at the moment. .. Yes I did know that Israel is located centrally in relation to the other countries around it and yes many horrible things were done in the name of Christianity and I agree that those historical biblicial facts in no way represents what God is. It represents the human error that is fraught with in human nature. As far as being told I was going to hell, absolutely the fanatical are always telling me that instead of discussing beliefs openly. Dare not question the religion or you are hell bound without a doubt. Alan you know full well the human race is always and has been laying in Judgement on others which is proof on these relifious threads. The Bible does clearly states that we should not Judge or less we ourselves will be Judged but the fanatics cannot conceive these words of wisdom. Whether you believe in Christ or not is not the issue to me. I believe in a supreme deity simple as that and I base my spiritual beliefs on the bible (all of it) along with the true non professed believers in their religion. The words and thoughts on these boards expose a lot of those which are merely sheep. Now the debate I thought of this thread was whether Jesus came in the world not to Judge and condemn he came to save the world with the sacrifice of his life or was he merely a political scapegoat which was then made into what the belief is today. Everyone typing on this thread is a sinner by some religion or another. To me to have a cross within the picture of Christ on it is a direct contradiction of thy shall have no other god before me. All the stained glass is a mere pictorial but the others I belief are a sin but those within that religion do not see it that way. Welcome to a difference of opinion. I have noticeds that a true christian is not one that professes himself to be one . GaBard
