Melinda, I'm one of those oddballs that loves the fog and gets vaguely depressed with too much sunshine, probably a holdover from living in Southern California for so long. I telecommute, so I can afford to welcome the fog. But I agree that making it in the market and getting to play at SI while doing so is a far better way to live. Pacific Grove and Carmel are beautiful country. Of course, anything along the North Coast, from San Luis Obispo on up, is more beautiful than not. I was even a little in love with Crescent City before they built Pelican Bay there. It's not so much the prison itself that puts me off, but the prison lights keep the place in daylight 24 hours a day. It gives a whole new meaning to Northern Lights. Holly
