Michael, as usual it is you who is doing all the distorting. First of all, here is your post bringing up the issue of transsexuals getting sex change operations while in prison: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - To: +Christine Grace Bartley (19579 ) From: +Michael D. Cummings Thursday, Apr 2 1998 9:22AM ET Reply # of 20117 Christine, what makes me ill is when I hear stories of prisoners getting operations like that and costing the tax payers thousands of bucks. Somehow I suspect you support paying for that too. Michael - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Please note that from your written words, a reasonable person might believe these operations are actually happening. You make absolutely no reference whatsoever to ONE test case in Oregon where an inmate CLAIMED he was entitled to a sex change operation while in prison, which I assume from the way your latest post is written, did not happen. So, we can conclude from a further study of these posts that: 1) there are no sex change surgeries being performed in American prisons, although your post implied there were 2) you made a false charge about what I consider fair taxation, without having any information whatsoever to back it up 3) it is you, not me, who has created the distortion here As far as my sentence structure goes, I noticed those mistakes I made, but after the 15-minute window for editing had passed. The sentence should read: What you don't seem to understand is that you made what is to most people who are reading this a fairly outrageous claim--that transsexuals are getting sex . . . Unfortunately, two tiny typos really distorted the meaning. I am running behind on answering my messages, but trying to hurry that much just causes misunderstandings. You do not upset me, Michael.
