Maybe something of a surprise?

Maybe they'll surprise us with the largest Linux installation in the world :-) With Mr. Unix himself as Borland CTO, I hope that Borland shows the same commitment to Linux as Netscape, while sticking like glue to NT.

Why would anybody, let alone a software tools vendor, bring down their website for a couple of days? Why not unplug the phones for a few days? The answer is Borland makes a clear distinction between novelty items (as VP Zack Urlocker views the web, what a tragic comment that is) and the essential parts of the business. That thinking pervades their entire thought process. There is no reason to bring down a website outside of bad judgement, poor execution and lame equipment.
