Leading New Brazilian Operator Selects TTI for its Cellular Network Management Solution
PETAH TIKVA, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 16, 1998-- TTI - Team Telecom International (''TTI'') (NASDAQ: TTILF - news) announced today that it has been selected together with its local Brazilian representative, CONSTRUTEL PROJETOS E CONSTRUCOES LTDA (''CONSTRUTEL''), to provide a leading B-Band Operator based in Brazil, with its Network Management solution for wireless networks. The award is TTI's second major contract in Brazil.

TTI's Netrac(TM) suite of applications, which includes advanced Fault, Configuration and Performance Management will provide a comprehensive set of tools for the surveillance and control of the new Brazilian Operator's cellular network. The solution supports telecommunication equipment from most leading manufacturers and cellular technologies.

Commenting on the award Meir Lipshes, Chief Executive Officer of TTI said, '' We are very pleased to be providing our leading edge cellular Network Management Solutions (NMS) to another primary customer in Brazil. Netrac will be managing one of the largest digital wireless cellular networks in Brazil. This award positions us in the forefront of Network Management suppliers in Brazil, after recently being chosen by TELERJ (TELECOMUNICACOES DO RIO DE JANEIRO S.A.) to provide our Netrac solution. It is our intention to continue providing our superior integrated, high-quality network management solutions to the rapidly developing South American market.

''The B-band cellular market in Brazil consists of ten new operation licenses that cover all regions of the country and represents one of the greatest opportunities in the communications market today. Cellular B-band operators will compete with the traditional A-band cellular operators of the TELEBRAS state-owned system. TTILF is on the launch pad, countdown has commenced, 3..2..1.. Blast off.
Houston, we have liftoff.
TTILF has demonstrated that they can get the major contracts. I hope that these announcements get them noticed by the institutions that have the ability to make the price move. It's not a question of "If" anymore, It's a question of "When".
