And apparently ear infections and many other pediatric problems are more common in children of smokers, not to mention the fetal effects. So if people want to gamble on compromising their health, I suppose we as a society have to let them- in the sense that we pick up the tab for their medicare bills, but it is wrong to gamble with your child's health.
