but is there any doubt that " Here are the rates and the schedule" is correct? Hi Gene, Well-this nasty woman certainly was positive that it was incorrect! And she is one of the people who work with him on graphic designs. THe tone of her e-mail to him was very officious and patronizing ("Please change this." Not "Do you think possibly.." or "I believe that your verb may not agree..."...just CHANGE IT ["stupid teen" is what he heard tacked on])so I was delighted that my friends here have found her wrong and him correct. CW scored a perfect 800 on the writing section of the PSAT last fall and I'd put him up against most adults, but he still is young and it's hard to stand up to adults. As for agreeing with him....welllll--actually he and I have at least one major battle a day at home but you're right -in public I probably would back him completely on most things. I plan to quote you if she gives him a hard time about this!...Heck, I'll sic this thread on her. Ha. She'll think twice before she ever corrects him again.. Thanks for the support, penni
