I don't think the Japanese would do anything rash like dumping all their treasuries onto the market. If they do it will be slow, orderly, and quietly, with US coordination and assistance. This would be to the benefit of both parties and besides, the US is way too big a market for them to deliberately piss Washington off. They're not that stupid. I think it's likely that some selling has already been accomplished in the last year.
